South Africa welcomed the EU’s announcement of a further investment package bringing total investment to €11.5 billion, targeting critical minerals, e-battery development, green hydrogen, renewable energy and vaccines. The package also supports infrastructure, logistics, digital connectivity, skills, small business development and R&D and builds on the South Africa–European Union Summit and plans for a Clean Trade and Investment Partnership.
