Colombian conflict survivors turn forest heroes in search of climate change solutions

FAO and the Green Climate Fund are implementing the Colombia REDD+ project (Vision Amazonia) to curb deforestation and promote sustainable land management in Colombia’s Amazon biome region. The project has secured $28.2 million in Results-based Payment and runs until 2026, helping local communities transition from destructive practices to sustainable agroforestry and silvopastoral systems.
