LIFE PRISTINE project aims to remove contaminants from water

The LIFE PRISTINE project, involving partners from Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany, aims to remove contaminates of emerging concern (CECs) from water. The integrated solution combines encapsulated adsorbents, hollow-fibre nanofiltration membranes, and UV-LED Advanced Oxidation Processes, supported by AI-based soft sensors. The project intends to remove at least 80% of these contaminants in wastewater and drinking water, while optimizing costs and minimizing environmental impact.
