Researchers show how to efficiently convert captured carbon dioxide into green energy
US-based Oregon State University researchers Zhenxing Feng and Alvin Chang contributed to a study that showed a novel electrocatalyst can improve the efficiency of converting carbon dioxide into methanol, a promising green fuel. This method could significantly impact reducing greenhouse gas emissions and responding to energy demands. The study, which received funding from the National Science Foundation, reports a Faradaic efficiency of 50%, compared to the previous 30%.
