Suzlon commits 100% renewable energy for manufacturing by 2030
Suzlon Group has joined RE100 and pledged 100% renewable energy at all 15 manufacturing facilities by 2030.
- Main announcement: Suzlon Group has become the first Indian energy company to join the RE100 Initiative, pledging 100% renewable electricity at all 15 manufacturing facilities by 2030, while targeting Carbon Neutrality (Scope 1 & 2) by 2035 and Net Zero (Scope 1, 2 & 3) by 2040.
- Background & achievements: In FY24-25 Suzlon reported an 88.51% reduction in Scope 1+2 emission intensity, an 80.7% increase in renewable energy consumption, and 92.87% carbon neutrality at the Rotor Blade Unit, Dhule; the Group cites ~21+ GW global installations (data as of 30 June 2025) and R&D centres in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and India.
