Honeywell and LS ELECTRIC partner on data center power BESS
Honeywell announced a global strategic collaboration with LS ELECTRIC to jointly develop and market integrated power management, switchgear and battery energy storage systems for data centers and commercial/industrial buildings.
- Main action: Honeywell and LS ELECTRIC will sell joint products beginning with integrated switchgear and power management for data centers and will develop new electrical power monitoring systems based on Honeywell Forge (with AI functions) combined with LS ELECTRIC software to provide AI-driven predictive maintenance and intelligent energy distribution. The companies also plan a grid- and building-aware modular BESS that integrates LS ELECTRIC’s energy storage capabilities with Honeywell’s dynamic energy control software to enable microgrids and forecast best source/cost using utility data and weather inputs.
- Background and implementation details: The collaboration leverages Honeywell Building Automation and LS ELECTRIC Power Electric expertise to target data centers and commercial/industrial buildings (including North America). Actions specified include joint product sales, development of integrated monitoring systems and a modular BESS solution; no specific financial commitments or firm deployment timelines were disclosed in the release.
