Long-Haul Travel Barometer 1/2025 Reveals Travel Sentiment Trends

The European Travel Commission and Eurail B.V. have released the Long-Haul Travel Barometer for 2025, indicating a decline in global travel sentiments, particularly towards Europe. This decline is attributed to concerns over affordability and shifting travel preferences. The report, fueled by 1,000 interviews conducted every four months, provides insights into potential travelers from key markets such as Australia, Brazil, China, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and the US. The project is co-funded by the European Union, aiming to enhance Europe’s competitiveness in the tourism sector.
