GRDF joins CO₂ Value Europe to advance renewable gases

France-based GRDF became a member of CO₂ Value Europe, focusing on advancing renewable and low-carbon gases. The organization aims to connect over 700 biomethane injection sites to the gas networks, which convert organic waste and agricultural residues into renewable energy. The combined production capacity of these sites is 14 TWh/yr. GRDF promotes bioCO₂ projects through Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) and targets to have 20% of the gas in their networks from renewable sources by 2030, exceeding France’s national goal of 10%.
