Aditya Birla launches Ultravolt wires and cables business

Aditya Birla Group has announced the launch of its wires and cables business, Ultravolt, as a new business foray under UltraTech Cement Limited.

• The launch is backed by an investment of Rs. 1,800 crore and the business is positioned as the second largest player in the wires segment by capacity at launch.
• The new business will be anchored by a manufacturing facility in Jhagadia, Bharuch district, Gujarat and will roll out products through more than 1 lakh retailers, 5,000 UBS outlets, 500+ districts, and 6,000 pin codes; it also plans to train 40,000 electricians over the coming year with ESSCI under the Skill India programme.
