Aurora Energy Precinct signs major AI data center partnership

Aurora Energy Precinct has announced a Heads of Agreement with an Australian data center operator to develop up to 1 GW of AI data center infrastructure in South Australia.

• The operator ստացել exclusivity over an initial 40-hectare parcel within Aurora’s 15.8 km² landholding; the proposed buildout is staged as a 17 MW starter campus, a 200 MW anchor campus, and a longer-term path to gigawatt scale.
• Aurora says the precinct includes up to 900 MW of solar generation potential, an approved 140 MW / 280 MWh battery energy storage system, high-voltage connection infrastructure, and access to fibre and water; definitive agreements are expected to cover land access, behind-the-meter renewable energy, battery storage, grid connection and precinct services.
