Bulgaria recovery plan amended with education and climate measures

The European Commission has presented an annex updating Bulgaria’s recovery and resilience plan, including reforms, investments, milestones, and financing amounts.

• The annex covers multiple components, including education, research and innovation, smart industry, low-carbon economy, digital connectivity, transport, healthcare, and REPowerEU; it also sets out timelines and targets such as STEM centers, data centers, energy storage, and rail/metro upgrades.
• The document states estimated plan costs of BGN 12,075,546,451 (EUR 6,174,106,145) and EUR 498,208,098 for the REPowerEU chapter, and it includes references to EUR 98 million, EUR 75 million, EUR 340 million, and other funding allocations.
