CoreWeave announced the bring up of a multi-rack NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 cluster on CoreWeave Cloud and two new CoreWeave AI Object Storage capabilities.
- Multi-rack Vera Rubin NVL72 now connects hundreds of Rubin GPUs into a single scale-out cluster for agentic AI, with CoreWeave saying it was the first AI cloud provider to validate and bring up a Vera Rubin NVL72.
- CoreWeave also introduced cross-region write acceleration and a new Archive tier; the storage features are designed to reduce cross-region latency, allow local writes with background replication, and lower long-term storage costs.
- The release says a single Vera Rubin NVL72 rack includes 72 Rubin GPUs, 36 Vera CPUs, NVIDIA NVLink 6, NVIDIA ConnectX-9 SuperNICs, and NVIDIA BlueField-4 DPUs; CoreWeave cites support for approximately 128,000 GPUs per rail in a non-blocking fabric.
