EU Presidency steering note on common chemicals data platform

The General Secretariat of the Council (Presidency) circulated a steering note inviting Member States to provide written comments on the Commission proposal COM_2023_779_1 for a Regulation to establish a common data platform on chemicals; the Presidency sets deadlines and agenda items for follow-up WP meetings.

• Main action: Presidency requests written comments (article by article) to be sent to the Presidency (deadline: March 2024 at 13:00) and will decide topics for the next Ad Hoc Working Party meeting scheduled 12 April 2024; the steering note lists priority discussion blocks (data/metadata scope, resources for MS/agencies, HBM/personal data, confidentiality and data use, medicinal products scope, MS participation/legal procedures).
