Meta expands Louisiana data center to 5 GW

Meta has announced an expansion of its Richland Parish, Louisiana data center to 5 GW of compute capacity, alongside new local infrastructure, workforce, and community investments.

  • The announcement also says Meta will provide a $5 million donation to Louisiana Delta Community College for scholarships and training for data center jobs, and that Entergy Louisiana’s agreement with Meta will fund seven new natural gas-fueled generating plants, three grid-scale batteries, nuclear uprates, and other purchased power.
