Microsoft named 2026 Gartner hybrid infrastructure leader

Microsoft has announced that it was recognized as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure for the fourth consecutive year.

• Microsoft says it is positioned highest for Ability to Execute and highlights its unified approach to distributed infrastructure through Azure Local and Azure Arc.
• The post says Azure Arc manages infrastructure across datacenters, edge locations, multi-cloud environments, and sovereign deployments, while Azure Local brings Azure infrastructure and services into customer-controlled locations for cloud and AI workloads.
• It also states that Microsoft will continue investing in connected and disconnected operations, scalable infrastructure, data and AI capabilities, and consistent Azure management across distributed environments.
