Moldovan president condemns Russia’s attacks on Ukraine

President Maia Sandu has condemned Russia’s latest attacks on Ukraine and said Russia must answer for its crimes.

• Maia Sandu said airstrikes overnight and this morning hit Kyiv, Kharkiv, and other cities, damaging civilian and infrastructure targets including the National Academy of Sciences, homes, and a medical facility.
• The article also says that on the night of 27 to 28 September, Russia attacked data and communications centers, energy facilities, a military airfield in Kyiv region, and logistics and port facilities in Odesa region; the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed hits on commercial vessels, a shipyard in Izmail, and a Border Guard Service base.
