nLighten appoints new CEO and CFO to scale European edge platform

nLighten announced the appointments of Dame Dawn Childs as Chief Executive Officer and Matthew Harris as Chief Financial Officer.

• Appointments and timelines: nLighten has appointed Dame Dawn Childs as Chief Executive Officer (she will join on 5th May, meet colleagues and sites during May, complete handover with Jeroen Hoencamp and assume the CEO position on 1 June) and Matthew Harris as Chief Financial Officer (joins on 1 July). Harro Beusker (co-founder and outgoing CEO) will remain on the nLighten Board as a Non-Executive Director and will serve as a Senior Advisor to I Squared Capital.
• Platform and background: nLighten operates a pan-European platform of 34 data centers across seven countries with 22 MW of capacity, backed by I Squared Capital; the company will focus on organic growth, strategic acquisitions and investment in sustainable infrastructure solutions. Matthew Harris previously secured over £250 million of funding for portfolio companies at Goldacre Ventures; Dame Dawn Childs joins from Pure Data Centers Group and previously led a multi-billion-pound programme at National Grid.
