Poland recovery plan updated for climate and digital tagging

The European Commission has issued a staff working document updating climate tracking and digital tagging for Poland’s recovery and resilience plan.

• The document accompanies a proposal for a Council Implementing Decision amending the 17 June 2022 approval decision for Poland’s plan, under COM(2026) 433 final and SWD(2026) 265 final.
• It lists revised and new measures across climate and digital categories, including broadband access, cyber security, data processing infrastructure, offshore wind farms, energy storage, and electricity networks.
• The table assigns budgets in EUR millions to each measure, including large items such as EUR 6,879 million for distribution and transmission networks and EUR 2,226 million for offshore wind farms.
• The document states that climate-related spending will be fully financed by Recovery and Resilience Facility funds and notes that REPowerEU investments are excluded from the digital target calculation.
