RWE and Google have announced a 15-year power purchase agreement for RWE’s 155 MWac Crooked Creek Solar project in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
- Google will purchase the total output from the project; construction is expected to start later in 2026 and commercial operation is targeted for 2028.
- The project is expected to support Google’s operations in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and generate up to 250 jobs at peak construction, along with estimated local economic activity of $24.3 million and $1.4 million in state and local tax revenue.
- RWE says the project will also generate about $25 million for county programs and local services over its operating life; RWE also notes it owns the 148 MW Boiling Springs wind project in Oklahoma and has 1.6 GW more in development in the state.
