Salute appoints first community affairs vice president

Salute has announced the appointment of Lucas Workman as its first Vice President of Community Affairs and Economic Development, a newly created role focused on community engagement around the data center industry.
- Workman will build relationships with local leaders, schools, colleges, workforce development organizations, chambers of commerce and industry partners to support career pathways, economic development, workforce readiness, education, housing, infrastructure and services.
- Salute said the role reflects its commitment to workforce training, educational partnerships, veteran transition initiatives, apprenticeships and community engagement; Workman brings more than 15 years of experience in economic development, public-private partnerships, government relations, workforce strategy and digital infrastructure, including work in Ecuador with the Peace Corps.
