Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) reports that November 2025 industrial production rose more than 16% year-on-year, marking the 21st consecutive month of growth driven by strong global demand for AI, high-performance computing, and cloud data services.

  • Industrial production index reached 119.31 in November (+16.42% YoY), with the manufacturing subindex at 120.84 (+17.35%), while the computer and optoelectronics industry surged 124.52% and integrated circuit production rose 18.17%, supported by higher shipments of servers and semiconductor inspection equipment.
  • In the first 11 months, the industrial index climbed 16.25% and manufacturing 17.38%, even as base metals (-10.79%), chemicals/fertilizer (-4.26%), auto/auto parts (-14.22%), and machinery (-4.26%) declined; MOEA forecasts manufacturing output could grow 13.1–16.8% YoY in December and around 17% for full-year 2025 despite ongoing protectionism and geopolitical risks.
