Vodafone Egypt and Cassava launch AI factory partnership

Vodafone Business and Cassava Technologies have announced a strategic partnership to develop sovereign AI infrastructure in Egypt, launching the country’s first AI factory for local AI applications and use cases.

• The partnership will provide full-stack AI infrastructure in Egypt, including GPU-as-a-Service, local data hosting and processing, regulatory compliance, and access to NVIDIA accelerated computing through Cassava Technologies, described as NVIDIA’s first cloud partner in Africa.
• Vodafone Egypt said the AI factory is part of a plan to invest more than EGP 20 billion during the current fiscal year, building on investments exceeding EGP 125 billion over 28 years; the announcement also says the initiative is intended to attract investment and support digital economy growth.
