The Ministry of Electronics & IT said India is promoting sustainable growth of data centres through energy-efficient and clean energy measures. It cited installed capacity of about 1,575 MW, estimated demand of 17 GW by 2031-32, and policy steps including renewable energy measures, the SHANTI Act, and BIS/BEE standards.

atNorth has announced a heat reuse partnership with Selected Group to use surplus heat from its DEN02 data center in Ølgod, Denmark, for a large-scale greenhouse development. The first phase is expected to be completed in Q3 2028.
