ECL, PowerCell partner to deploy hydrogen fuel cell power systems across US data centers
ECL has announced a partnership with PowerCell Group to support hydrogen-powered data centers across the US.
- The deal includes a firm purchase order for PowerCell PS190 fuel cell systems and a non-binding MoU for about 300MW of additional hydrogen fuel cell capacity across ECL’s data center portfolio.
- First deployments will begin at ECL’s 35MW CSC-1 campus in Santa Clara, California, using PowerCell’s containerized systems within ECL’s FlexGrid microgrid architecture with grid power, natural gas, and battery storage; the partners have also already deployed fuel cells at ECL’s MV-1 facility in Mountain View, California.
