Arista launches AI-driven zero trust branch security

Arista Networks has announced the launch of its new AI-driven Edge Threat Management (ETM) for VeloCloud SD-WAN, adding integrated zero trust security for enterprise branch offices.

• ETM is positioned as an software upgrade option for VeloCloud SD-WAN, with features including advanced firewalling, threat prevention, zone-based segmentation, Geo-IP filtering, DNS filtering, and AI-powered policy insights.
• The solution will be generally available in Q4 2026 and will work with all current VeloCloud hardware and virtual edge platforms; Arista says it leverages Arista AVA features such as Policy Explainer and Traffic Simulation.
• The release includes customer commentary from T&A SYSTEME GmbH and MetTel, and presents ETM as part of Arista’s broader secure networking strategy from client to cloud.
