Arista launches rack-scale architectures for AI fabrics

Telborg · October 07, 2026 · ✓ verified

Arista Networks has announced its open Ethernet rack-scale portfolio for AI infrastructure, adding new rack-scale architectures for scale-up and scale-out AI fabrics.

  • The launch includes Etherlink SU-144, supporting up to 144 accelerators per rack and up to 1,024 XPUs through cross-rack topologies, with three physical form factors: Orthogonal Chassis, Cabled Backplane, and Cross-Rack System.
  • The solution integrates liquid-cooled 7060EX7 switches, fiber patch panels, liquid-cooling manifolds, leak detection, rack management controllers, and power shelves with Backup Battery Units (BBU); Arista also says next-generation optics can raise rack capacity from 1.6 Pb/s to 6.5 Pb/s and reduce data center footprint by nearly 50%. The company will demonstrate the solutions at OCP Global Summit on October 12–15, 2026 in Booth E61.
