Arista unveils Netdi-powered Blue Box for AI networking

Arista Networks announces the Arista Blue Box hardware platform, powered by its Netdi diagnostic infrastructure, to deliver reliable, NOS-agnostic networking for large-scale AI and cloud data centers.

• Netdi-based Blue Box combines Arista’s high-performance hardware with a rich Network Diagnostic Infrastructure (Netdi) derived from 7,000+ person-years of EOS® development, enabling NOS-agnostic validation (with EOS, SONiC, FBOSS and other Linux-based NOS) and features like secure boot with TPM, SEU resiliency validated via error injection and neutron beam testing, and proactive support via Arista AVA™ and NetDL™.
• Arista emphasizes low-power hardware design (e.g., Linear-Drive Pluggable Optics (LPO), advanced thermal management, and rigorous EDVT/MDVT/EMI/HALT/RDT stress testing plus 250,000+ daily automated scale tests) and highlights its role in open ecosystems through Premier Membership in the SONiC Foundation and leadership in UEC, OSFP MSA, LPO MSA, and ESUN, to support scalable AI, cloud, and enterprise networks.
