Atmosphere Data Centers plans Jasper campus in Saint Joseph

Atmosphere Data Centers LLC has announced a proposed Jasper Data Center Campus in Saint Joseph, Missouri, tied to an exclusive purchase arrangement for the site.

• Property owner Capstone Technology Campus LLC / STJ Data Center LLC and developer Atmosphere Data Centers LLC are identified as the project parties; Atmosphere-DC is exclusively contracted to be the purchaser of the campus.
• The campus at 5701 Pickett Rd and 6321 Pickett Rd would cover about 130 acres within a 400+ acre campus, include four data buildings to start, and rely on nearby Evergy 345kV and 161kV electrical substation and transmission infrastructure.
• The fact sheet says the current application is annexation and notes a related potential renewable energy / adjacent BESS project; it also cites expected impacts of over 1,000 construction jobs, 150-250 permanent jobs, and about $50M tax revenue per year.
