Berkeley Lab advances DOE American Science Cloud

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is highlighting its role in the American Science Cloud (AmSC) as part of the Genesis Mission.

• Inder Monga, Director of the Scientific Networking Division at Berkeley Lab and Executive Director of ESnet, says AmSC is the foundational infrastructure layer for open science within the Genesis Mission and connects DOE labs, user facilities, commercial cloud services, and frontier AI models.
• Berkeley Lab is contributing through project and product leadership, science use cases such as SYNAPS-I, and infrastructure integration with NERSC, ESnet, and the High Performance Data Facility; the piece also says AmSC was launched in October 2025.
