CESA webinar argues battery storage aids data centers

The Clean Energy States Alliance discussed how battery storage can support data center development during a June 24, 2026 webinar.

• The webinar, The AI Power Problem, had over 300 participants and featured David Chernis, Director of Flexible Compute Platforms at CPower, who argued battery energy storage can address AI-driven load growth and grid constraints.
• The article says CPower is developing a new energy layer for AI infrastructure; it also presents five reasons battery storage may help data centers, including faster interconnection, backup power, voltage smoothing, cost savings, and community benefits.
