The European Commission has issued a corrigendum and country report for Finland as part of the State of the Digital Decade 2026 package.
- The corrigendum corrects figures in COM(2026) 288 final: VHCN coverage changes from 85.5% to 85.6% and 4-year progress from 22.7% to 22.8%.
- The Finland report says the country is a digital frontrunner but still faces rural connectivity gaps, stagnant cloud adoption, and a shortage of ICT professionals; it also notes EUR 70 million of measures ending by end-2026, plus EUR 0.5 billion in the recovery plan and EUR 0.4 billion in cohesion policy funding for digital transformation.
- Recommendations focus on connectivity, ICT specialists, take-up of technologies, cybersecurity, quantum, and semiconductors, including support for the national 6G roadmap published in June 2025 and stronger reliance on European cybersecurity suppliers.
