GE Vernova expands Charleroi breaker manufacturing facility

GE Vernova has announced an expansion of its Power Transmission manufacturing facility in Charleroi, Pennsylvania.
- The company said the modernized facility will produce high-voltage circuit breakers, switchgear products, and instrument transformers and help utilities connect new energy-intensive demand, including data centers, to the grid more quickly and reliably.
- The expansion is part of a $138 million investment in the Charleroi facility, with about 275 new jobs through 2028 and additional hiring through 2030; GE Vernova also said it expects to invest $166 million in Western Pennsylvania and create more than 700 jobs across Pennsylvania. The announcement was marked at an event with Governor Josh Shapiro.
