Telborg · November 04, 2026 · ✓ verified

GridPoint announced plans to expand its energy intelligence platform with on-site battery storage and said co-founder Adrian De Luca has returned as chief executive officer to lead the next phase.

  • The company said it is targeting 2 gigawatts (GW) of distributed storage capacity across its existing footprint of more than 20,000 buildings.
  • GridPoint said the move builds on its existing platform for HVAC, refrigeration, lighting and other controllable loads, and that storage can add lower energy costs and new grid revenue; it also cited commercial electricity rates up 42% over five years, PJM capacity prices at $325 per megawatt-day for 2028/2029, and $1.5 billion in customer energy savings to date.
