KDDI appoints Kohtaro Murasawa to lead America units

KDDI Corporation has announced the appointment of Kohtaro Murasawa as President and Chief Executive Officer of KDDI America, Inc. and Telehouse America, effective immediately.

• Murasawa succeeds Satoshi Oishi, who will return to Japan for a new leadership role within KDDI; the announcement says Murasawa will expand digital transformation, cybersecurity, IoT, digital infrastructure, and strengthen colocation and interconnection platforms.
• The release says KDDI America and Telehouse America provide network, cloud, IoT, AI, cybersecurity, global messaging, and carrier-neutral data center services through Telehouse America’s data centers and peering ecosystem.
