Maryland has initiated the construction of its first data center campus in Frederick County, with Rowan Digital Infrastructure leading the development of three data centers: Bauxite II and Bauxite III, costing a total of $1.4 billion. This project is expected to create over 10,000 construction jobs and generate $64.5 million in state and county tax revenues. Furthermore, operations will produce $19 million in county tax revenue annually, alongside $38.8 million for the state, while creating 275 permanent jobs with an average salary of $100,000.
