Maxis deploys Nokia optical transport for network upgrades

Maxis has announced that it recently deployed Nokia’s optical transport technology to strengthen its nationwide and cross-border network infrastructure.

• The deployment uses Nokia’s 1830 PSS and PSE-6 optical technology to deliver up to 1.2 Tbps per channel and expand capacity through C+L band technology.
• Maxis says the upgrade supports AI workloads, Data Center Interconnect, high-density enterprise connectivity, and serves more than 50 data centers in Malaysia; the company says it is helping Malaysia’s digital ambition.
