Meta has announced a new agreement with Reliance Industries to lease its first AI-enabled data center in India.
- Meta and Reliance will build and lease an AI-enabled data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat with 168 MW of capacity, with Meta able to scale the facility.
- Meta said it will cover the full cost of the energy and water supporting the facility, and that the site will be powered by renewable energy and cooled with desalinated seawater; Meta also separately announced nearly 1 GW of new clean energy contracts in India with CleanMax and Fourth Partner Energy.
