Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd. has announced the overseas launch of its ETI-W series heat recovery type water-to-water centrifugal heat pump beginning October 2026.

  • The ETI-W series, launched in Japan in 2025, will be expanded to overseas markets starting October 2026 to support high-temperature water applications.
  • The unit uses low-temperature waste heat to supply hot water up to 90℃, has a maximum heating capacity of 640kW, and achieves a COP of 4.01 during heating.
  • MHI Thermal Systems says it will target electronics, automotive, food, chemical, and pharmaceutical factories, plus commercial and accommodation facilities; it also notes possible use for data centers that continuously generate waste heat from cooling equipment.
  • The product uses the low-GWP refrigerant HFO-1233zd(E) and leverages MHI’s overseas sales and service network for centrifugal water chillers.
