Motivair by Schneider Electric launches new CDU range

Motivair by Schneider Electric has announced two new Coolant Distribution Units (MCDU-45 and MCDU-55) designed to meet rising thermal demands from HPC, AI Factory, and data center workloads.

• New CDUs (MCDU-45, MCDU-55) are purpose-built for utility corridor installation, available globally with production ramping in early 2026, offering wider cooling capacities, support for a broad range of chilled water temperatures, and integration into the MCDU-25 through MCDU-60 CDU family for hyperscale, AI, colocation, edge, and retrofit environments.
• The launch is the first new product line since Schneider Electric’s acquisition of Motivair in February 2025, targeting high-density AI and HPC deployments with features such as space optimization, energy savings and improved PUE, simplified maintenance via diverse placement, and enhanced chiller plant integration with precise flow control, real-time monitoring, and adaptive load balancing to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
