QTS withdraws appeal and ends Digital Gateway project

QTS affiliate GW Acquisition Co. has withdrawn its petition for appeal in a Virginia Supreme Court matter and states that QTS has decided to terminate the Digital Gateway project.

• Withdrawal filed under Rule 5:38 in Record No. 260397; a matching withdrawal was also filed in Record No. 260396, with a request to remand both records so the Court of Appeals can vacate its stay.
• GWA says QTS has chosen to terminate the Digital Gateway project after years of planning and public review; the project had been approved by the Prince William Board of County Supervisors and was said to involve tens of billions of dollars in capital investment, substantial annual local tax revenues, and thousands of long-term jobs.
• The filing is dated July 2, 2026 and also says QTS has invested $5 billion in Central Virginia alone and that Virginia has been a core part of its business for many years.
