ReNew and Google sign 150 MW Rajasthan solar deal

ReNew Energy Global Plc has announced a long-term agreement with Google to enable development of a new 150 MW solar project in Rajasthan, India, with Google procuring the project’s energy attributes.

• The 150 MW solar project in Rajasthan is scheduled for commissioning in 2026, expected to generate ~425,000 MWh/year of clean electricity (equivalent to powering over 360,000 Indian households), and expands ReNew’s committed C&I portfolio to 2.7 GW while supporting Google’s value chain emissions reduction.
• India targets 500 GW non-fossil capacity by 2030; ReNew is pursuing an SBTi‑aligned net‑zero by 2040, operates a ~18.5 GW (+1.1 GWh BESS) clean energy portfolio, and has 6.4 GW solar module and 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing with an additional 4 GW solar cell capacity under expansion, while executing multiple long-term renewable agreements with global technology companies.
