Renewal of Hetlingen wastewater plant process control system Phase 2

Abwasser-Zweckverband Südholstein has awarded a contract to VESCON AQUA GmbH to carry out the second construction phase to renew the process control system and central automation devices at the Hetlingen wastewater treatment plant.

• Main contract award:VESCON AQUA GmbH awarded lot LOT-0001 with a contract/tender value of EUR 1 673 138,33; contract concluded on 06/01/2026; works period from 18/02/2026 to 27/03/2028. Scope includes migration of Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7 Version 9.1 SP2 to virtual machines on the site virtualisation system, virtualization of a redundant process-server pair plus seven PCS 7 clients and one engineering station, removal of existing KVM technology and deployment of thin-clients, replacement of the second half of central automation with seven SIMATIC S7-410 5H devices, and adaptation of decentralised peripheral bus.
