UK guidance on school digital estate infrastructure

The UK government has published guidance on managing digital technology across school and college estates.

• The guidance covers network switching, data cabling, wifi, broadband, servers, CCTV, access control, telecoms, and sustainable digital technology.
• It advises schools to review existing infrastructure with the SLT digital lead and IT support, follow procurement procedures, and plan for the analogue-to-digital phone transition by the start of 2027.
