Aypa secures 1 GWh Arizona battery, Arevon activates 600 MWh Tesla battery
US-based companies Aypa Power and Arevon Energy have announced major battery energy storage developments in Arizona and California. Aypa Power has secured $398 million financing for a 250 MW/1 GWh battery storage project in Mesa, Arizona, while Arevon has activated the first phase of its Eland solar-plus-storage site in Mojave, California, featuring 384 MWdc of solar and 150 MW/600 MWh of energy storage capacity. The total combined battery storage capacity amounts to 2.2 GWh.

EDF Renewables clinches PPA for 250 MW/1000 MWh battery project in Arizona
EDF Renewables North America has secured a 20-year PPA with Arizona Public Service for its 250-MW/1,000 MWh Beehive battery energy storage system project in Peoria, Arizona. The project, which represents EDF Renewables’ second stand-alone storage project, will begin construction in 2025 and is expected to be operational in 2026.
