Heron Power picks Morgan Hill factory for power electronics

Heron Power has announced it selected Morgan Hill, California for its first large-scale factory to manufacture next-generation power electronics for energy and datacenter projects.

• The company will convert a 286,000 square foot former distribution warehouse into an advanced manufacturing facility for Heron Link, a 5-megawatt medium voltage power conversion system.
• Heron expects to invest over $100 million, add more than 600 jobs, and begin site preparation immediately with mass production in late 2027; the project is supported by a $26.4 million California Competes award and involved PG&E, the City of Morgan Hill, state partners, and JLL over ten months.
