IBM and Together AI sign $240M cloud AI agreement

IBM has announced a multi-year collaboration with Together AI to scale open-source AI inference on IBM Cloud using NVIDIA AI infrastructure.

• IBM said it will deploy a large cluster of NVIDIA HGX B300 systems on IBM Cloud with expected availability in Q1 2027 under a $240M multi-year agreement.
• The deployment is described as the first dedicated, large-scale inference cluster on IBM Cloud using HGX B300 systems and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking; Together AI will use it to provide open-source model inference and IBM said the setup is intended to support enterprise AI workloads.
