nLighten and Arqit complete sovereign cloud proof of concept

nLighten and Arqit Quantum Inc. have announced the successful completion of a joint proof of concept demonstrating sovereign cloud workloads anchored to a European data center foundation.

  • The POC was conducted between nLighten’s Geneva data center and one of the largest hyperscalers in the world, showing that customer data and cryptographic controls can remain rooted in nLighten’s facility while extending securely into the cloud with Arqit’s SKA-Platform™.
  • The companies said the model is intended to help regulated organisations in financial services, pharmaceuticals and the public sector use public cloud, AI and on-demand scalability while maintaining sovereignty, compliance and security; it is planned to be replicated across nLighten’s network of more than 30 edge data centers in seven European countries.
