NVIDIA has announced that Spectrum-6, a 102.4-terabit-per-second Ethernet switch system, is arriving across gigascale AI factories as part of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform.

  • Spectrum-6 delivers 2x the capacity of previous-generation systems and anchors the next generation of the NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet platform for AI factories.
  • CoreWeave, Microsoft, Nebius, SpaceXAI and Tesla will be among the first to deploy the system; NVIDIA says Spectrum-X Ethernet can deliver up to 1.6x higher AI networking performance, 95% network efficiency across deployments exceeding 100,000 GPUs, and 1.7x fewer switches for data centers.
  • NVIDIA says Spectrum-6 supports pluggable and co-packaged optics and liquid cooling, and is combined with ConnectX-9 SuperNIC and other Vera Rubin components including Vera CPU, Rubin GPU, NVLink 6 Switch and BlueField-4 DPU.
