Tajani to launch Italy's first science diplomacy strategy

Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani will announce the launch of the country’s first National Strategy for Science Diplomacy at the Conference of Scientific, Space and Agricultural Attachés in Reggio Calabria.

• The conference is taking place at the Teatro Comunale Cilea in Reggio Calabria on 5 November 2026, following two days of discussions that began on 3 November and included visits to industrial sites.
• Tajani will also sign a collaboration protocol between the Farnesina and the CNR to promote new initiatives in science diplomacy; the agenda highlights frontier technologies including AI, quantum technologies, and high-performance computing.
