Tungsten Regulate Medium-Entropy Heterostructure as a highly efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction

This research presented a novel approach by incorporating a metal-organic framework (MOF) templating strategy to develop FeCoNi MEA nanoparticles that show excellent oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity. The newly created tungsten-refined FeCoNi-W medium-entropy heterostructure catalysts demonstrated superior OER performance. This included a remarkable performance at 270 mV at 10 mA cm−2, with stability lasting 50 hours at 100 mA cm−2, exceeding the performance of commercial noble metal electrodes.
